Copper ore thickener working principle :

The working principle of copper ore thickener (also called copper mining thickener) :By applying forces such as gravity or bubbles, minerals with different densities can form layers in the liquid phase, thereby achieving separation. It adopts the rational use of coagulants and the bottom feeding fabric method to improve the settling speed and efficiency.

Factors affecting the thickening effect :

The factors that affect the concentration effect include the particle size, density, humidity of the ore, as well as the type and amount of leaching agent and flocculant selected.

Copper ore thickener process steps in flotation plant

1.Crushing and Grinding: Firstly, large pieces of copper ore are crushed into coarse, medium, and fine particles by a stone crusher , and then the ore is ground into fine powder by a ball mill;

2.Classification: The ground mineral powder is classified by a spiral classifier to ensure its uniformity and fineness, preparing for subsequent processing.

3.Magnetic Separation: Utilizing magnetic differences, magnetic and non-magnetic minerals are separated by a magnetic separator to prepare for the next step of flotation.

4.Flotation: Using a flotation machine, flotation agents are used to separate useful minerals from gangue based on the differences in physical and chemical properties of minerals. This step is the key process for extracting copper ore.

5.Concentrate: The flotation slurry enters the concentrator and removes water by gravity to obtain a slurry with lower water content.

6.Filtering and drying: Further remove moisture through a filter machine to obtain minerals with lower moisture content, and finally perform drying treatment to obtain the final copper concentrate powder.

Process steps in leaching plant

1.Crushing and Grinding: same as flotation

2.Leaching: Using sulfuric acid leaching or ammonia leaching methods, sulfuric acid or ammonia water is used as a leaching agent to dissolve copper ions from copper ore. The leached slurry undergoes washing, precipitation, and other steps to convert copper ions into precipitable compounds.

3.Concentrate: Use a concentrator to precipitate copper ions from the leachate through physical and chemical methods such as gravity settling or flotation. The high-efficiency concentrator adopts the rational use of coagulants and the bottom feeding fabric method to improve the settling speed and efficiency.

4.Dewatering and drying: The concentrated slurry is dehydrated by a dewatering machine and then dried to obtain copper ore products with lower moisture content. This step is crucial for the subsequent smelting process.
