Thickener working principle and process
By gravity, Based on the sedimentation process of particles. The slurry from feeding tube enters the free sedimentation layer zone , and the particles sink rapidly by their own weight, and the liquid rises to the clarification layer zone. The particles continue to sink to the transition zone and compression zone, forming a solid body in close contact, and finally scraped and discharged by the rake.
1. Feeding slurry: Slurry enters the tank: flows into the tank through delivery pipe and liquid separation port. The coarser particles sink directly to the bottom, and the finer particles spread around with the overflow water, then form a conical concentration layer.
2.Sedimentation and clarification:Slurry goes through sedimentation, transition, compression, etc. in the tank, the particles sink, the liquid rises to the clean water layer area, and the clean water overflows from the top.
3. Scraping and discharge: By rotating the rake teeth of the rake frame, the settled slurry is scraped to the center of the pool, and discharged through the discharge port. The clarified water overflows to the recovery water pool.
Types:
Tailings thickener: The thickener is one of the main equipment for tailings treatment. In practical applications, deep cone thickeners , inclined plate thickeners, and central drive thickeners are mostly used, and a small amount of peripheral drive thickeners are used.
In tailings treatment, deep cone paste thickener is one of the most commonly used equipment.
Features:
1.The deep cone setting with large cone angle increases the compression area of the thickener, and the pulp is continuously compressed through the longer compression area, so that the underflow concentration is higher;
2.The multi-cone structure is adopted, on the one hand, the compression zone is transformed to make the underflow concentration higher, and on the other hand, the height of the tank body can be greatly reduced;
3.The inclined plate is installed inside, which increases the settlement area of the thickener, effectively prevents the particles from floating up, improves the concentration of the underflow, and makes the overflow water clearer;
4.The feeding center is equipped with a receiving tray, so that the fed ore slurry can fall evenly and smoothly, and effectively prevent the phenomenon of turning over caused by the residual pressure of the ore;
5.The special-shaped overflow weir improves the local suction phenomenon caused by the uneven overflow weir;
6.The degassing tank adopts a more advanced and reasonable mechanism to make the degassing effect more obvious.
